A Myrmidon without the chance to field its 5 heavies becomes a useless ship IMHO, so I'm happy I didn't buy another one, and I won't do so until this drone thing will be decided and cleared... Anyone who has flown a myrm knows that it's slow and dumb as all BCs, and its theoretical blaster DPS output isn't really usable when you're tanking too (cap is not large, and since you'll need to fit a MWD to get in the range, you know...), so try to pop a well fitted and well flown Drake, I wonder if anyone would say it's an easy task, really... it isn't! Drake has a great tank, a very good DPS output, and can resist your (eventual) nossing without suffering any problem, while you would have cap problems from the second you start using your repper... not to mention the fact that your drones will be very soon shot at... and.. oh, those 5 light drones can kill my 5 heavies quite fast...

So am I saying "plz nerf the Drake, Caldari are MEANT to do long range combat, why this ship can be so effective close range, and even have 5 drones while its DPS SHOULD come from missiles" and so on??? No It's good that Drake is such a good BC for Caldari, as well as a Myrm is for Gallente, both are quite expensive, they are obviously better than the Ferox or Brutix for the most part, but they have weak points too (useless to say what those are again), and that's it.
On another foot, I generally believe the general "asking for nerf" concept is unfair from every point of view, and the "nerfing" should be a very, very, very rare action on behalf of any dev. Why ruining the way ppl use and fit a (usually expensive) ship, waste the (usually long) time used to build the right skills, frustrate the creativity and the "trial and error" process involved in finding the right way to fly and fit that particular ship, just because one feature was possibly overlooked on the design board?
Use the "boost" concept instead! The other ships of the same class could be boosted in some way to allow them a better usability, so, more challenge around, more creativity, more fun, no more "unhappy nerfed people" but many "happy boosted people". Do you need another good reason why? If I buy a car model today, it will be a good car. If I'll buy the same model 3 years from now, I would expect it to be cheaper, or to find an improved version. If it was more expensive, or worse than the one I have now, I won't buy it. Why would anyone in his right minds want CCP to create new models that are worse than the old ones?
